Anti-IDF Graffiti and Arson Target IDF Veteran in Missouri

In a disturbing incident in St. Louis, Missouri, three cars were set on fire, and “Death to the IDF” graffiti was spray-painted in a residential neighborhood. The attack targeted an American citizen who served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and returned to his family home in Clayton. According to Leo Terrell, head of the Trump administration’s antisemitism task force, the attack was “horrific” and included graffiti accusing the victim of being a murderer.
Local Jewish organizations condemned the attack, describing it as a hateful act of intimidation linked to normalized antisemitic and anti-Israel rhetoric. The Jewish Federations of St. Louis called the incident a direct attack on their community, emphasizing that it is more than vandalism—it is an act of terror.
Antisemitic attacks have surged globally since Hamas’s invasion of Israel in October 2023, sparking the ongoing conflict in Gaza. This incident highlights the growing threat of anti-IDF and antisemitic sentiment in the U.S., fueled by extremist rhetoric and global jihadist ideologies. Authorities arrested a suspect, but the broader implications of such attacks on Jewish communities remain a pressing concern.
