National Guard Deployed to Los Angeles Amid Violent Protests Against Immigration Raids

Border Czar Tom Homan announced Saturday evening that the Trump administration is deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles following two days of violent protests against immigration raids. Protesters escalated tensions by throwing rocks at ICE and federal law enforcement vehicles, shattering windshields and injuring one agent. They also attempted to block a U.S. Marshal’s Service bus with a barricade.
Homan stated, “We are enforcing the law and will not apologize for it. We are ahead of the game and bringing the National Guard in tonight.” The administration cited the violence and obstruction of federal law enforcement as justification for the deployment, emphasizing the need to ensure public safety and uphold legal operations.
The deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops aims to restore order and support federal law enforcement in the face of escalating violence.
