Federal Strike Force Formed to Investigate Russia Hoax Allegations

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced the formation of a federal Strike Force to investigate allegations of fraud and misuse of intelligence related to the so-called "Russia hoax" during former President Barack Obama’s administration. Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the Strike Force will assess evidence and explore potential legal actions stemming from a 2020 report by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, which revealed that Obama and his national security team allegedly fabricated intelligence to falsely accuse Donald Trump of Russian collusion.
Gabbard’s report detailed how the Obama administration allegedly manufactured an Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) based on unverified and discredited sources, including the Steele dossier, to promote the Russia hoax. The report also criticized the CIA for using flawed intelligence to support the narrative, despite warnings from within the intelligence community.
The Strike Force will focus on uncovering the alleged weaponization of the intelligence community to undermine Trump’s presidency. Bondi emphasized that the investigation will leave no stone unturned to deliver justice. The formation of this Strike Force marks a significant step in addressing widespread concerns about political interference and accountability in U.S. intelligence operations.
