Shocking Organ Transplant Practices Revealed by HHS Secretary

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has uncovered disturbing practices within the organ transplant system during a recent investigation. At a congressional hearing, Florida Rep. Neal Dunn called the revelations “a story more fitting for a horror movie.”
Kennedy disclosed that hospitals had initiated the organ procurement process while patients still exhibited signs of life. In one particularly chilling case, a donor regained consciousness during organ harvesting, only to die later. Kennedy emphasized that such violations of human dignity would no longer be tolerated under his leadership.
In an interview with Newsmax, Kennedy described the investigation as “sickening,” highlighting how regulatory failures allowed exploitation. Some states, he said, had “nightmare” conditions, with private organ harvesting companies operating without adequate oversight.
Kennedy announced sweeping reforms, including the decertification of organizations violating ethical standards. The Department of Health and Human Services will now directly oversee the organ transplant system to prevent future abuses.
Congress has expressed bipartisan concern over these revelations, with lawmakers demanding accountability and transparency to restore public trust in the organ transplant system.
