Breaking: Israel Launches Preemptive Strikes Against Iran

Israel has launched a massive preemptive military operation, targeting Iran's nuclear facilities, ballistic missile programs, and key military figures. The strikes, codenamed "Operation Rising Lion," reportedly killed General Hossein Salami, commander-in-chief of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as other high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the operation in a televised address, stating that Iran's nuclear program poses an existential threat to Israel. "We struck at the head of Iran's nuclear weaponization program," Netanyahu declared, emphasizing that the operation would continue until the threat was neutralized.
In preparation for potential retaliation, Israel has declared a state of emergency, banning school sessions, social gatherings, and non-essential work. The country is mobilizing tens of thousands of soldiers to defend against expected Iranian reprisals.
The United States has stated it did not assist in the strikes, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirming that U.S. forces in the region remain protected. However, Senator Ted Cruz has defended Israel's actions, calling them necessary for self-defense and warning of the dangers of a nuclear Iran.
The situation remains tense as Iran vows to retaliate, and the world watches for further developments in this escalating conflict.
