Hamas Accused of Murdering Gazans Seeking Aid

Hamas has been accused of systematically murdering Gazans attempting to access food aid distributed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an initiative set up by Israel with American support. The GHF, established to prevent Hamas from diverting foreign aid for its own gain, has provided over 35 million meals to Gazans since its inception.
Hamas, however, has sought to undermine the GHF by killing civilians who attempt to access the aid. According to the Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas has killed hundreds of Gazans under the pretext of "collaboration" with the American aid centers. Specific cases include the murder of Siraj Al-Din Hisham Shahin and five members of the Al-Hilu family, all targeted while seeking food aid.
The PA has condemned Hamas for operating "death squads" and has detailed harrowing accounts of families whose loved ones were murdered by Hamas. In one case, a group of Hamas members, known as the "Arrow Unit," stopped a bus carrying young men heading to a food distribution center. They falsely accused the men of collaborating with the GHF, bound them, and shot them repeatedly, even as they fled to Nasser Hospital.
Despite these atrocities, Hamas continues to blame Israel for the killings, a claim vehemently denied by the IDF. The PA's recent acknowledgment of Hamas's crimes has shed new light on the brutal tactics used to suppress access to aid, highlighting the ongoing challenges in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
