Gangs, Cartels, and Terrorists Target ICE Agents with Bounties

Gangs, cartels, and terrorist organizations have escalated their attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Border Patrol officers by placing bounties on their lives, according to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Speaking on Fox & Friends, Noem revealed that kidnappings are valued at $2,000 and killings at $10,000, with the criminals circulating photos of targeted agents.
“These groups are highly effective,” Noem stated, explaining that the agents are being targeted because they disrupt criminal networks. “This isn’t about free speech or policy disagreements—it’s about literal calls to kill these officers.”
The secretary highlighted the organized nature of the opposition, noting that protesters use identical signs and equipment, suggesting external funding. She criticized Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for fostering a hostile environment, citing an incident where Chicago police refused to assist Border Patrol agents under attack.
Noem also reported that local officials are denying ICE agents access to basic facilities, forcing them to work without proper restrooms or break areas. Despite these challenges, the agents remain dedicated, having been away from their families for months.
“No matter the obstacles, these officers are committed to upholding the law and protecting our borders,” Noem said, emphasizing their belief in the importance of their work.
This alarming trend underscores the growing threats to U.S. law enforcement and the need for stronger support from federal and local governments.
The Growing Threat to Law Enforcement and the Need for National Unity
The alarming escalation of violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Border Patrol officers is a direct assault on our nation's security and the rule of law. These bounties placed on the lives of law enforcement personnel by gangs, cartels, and terrorist organizations are not merely attacks on individuals but a broader challenge to the principles of order and justice that define our society.
The targeting of ICE agents reflects a disturbing trend where progressive ideologies and sanctuary city policies have emboldened criminal networks. By denying ICE agents the support and resources they need, local officials are effectively complicit in creating an environment where violence against law enforcement is normalized. This is a moral failing that undermines the safety of all Americans.
The refusal of some cities, such as Chicago, to assist ICE agents under attack is a glaring example of how progressive agendas prioritize radical ideologies over public safety. This hostility not only endangers our borders but also weakens the trust between citizens and those sworn to protect them.
We must recognize that supporting ICE agents is not a political statement but a matter of national security and common decency. These agents are on the front lines, risking their lives to uphold the law and safeguard our communities. Their dedication deserves our gratitude and unwavering support.
The current crisis is a stark reminder that we are at a crossroads. Will we stand united in defense of our law enforcement, or will we allow radical ideologies to divide us and undermine our security? The choice is clear: we must prioritize truth, security, and the rule of law to ensure a safe and prosperous future for our nation.
